I am sorry if this has been posted before, but a coworker has just informed me that the town of Cary offers rain barrels for sale at the price of $82. This is much cheaper than the prices I have seen at some ofthe retail outlets. Here is the link to the Cary webiste with more information.

Rain Barrels for Water Recycling (http://www.townofcary.org/depts/pwdept/water/waterconservation/rainbarrels.htm - broken link)

Now if it would just rain so people could fill up those barrels!

I can't wait for the day when rain barrels are just as common as a garden hose!

And if this has been posted before I'm sure one of the current trolls will be sure to bring it up. :P There are a lot of things that get posted over and over on here. But water conservation is so important it cannot be posted enough!

I'll bet that after this years drought more and more people are going to invest in rain barrels. I've never had one because I've never thought them that necessary in years past, but I am seriously considering investing in least two. Now, if it would just rain....

Hey MAtoNC, just curious why you game me a negative rep point for this post? I'm guessing you meant it to be a positive but are delirious from a lack of water!

It's all good, just thought it was funny!

So does it snow enough here to fill up those rain barrels? Maybe by March?

NRG,
You missed the fact that they are FULL rain barrels.

We water our lawns with bottled water in Cary, and this is a bulk buy...
