Any updates on this? There's still an "Available" sign on the former Carino's building. Would be great to have another Chuy's on this side of town!

We do NOT need another mediocre Mexican restaurant in Brier Creek. We already have Tres Maguyes (sp?) for that. San Jose is pretty good.

Ed Mitchell is back. Well, almost. He is opening a location in Raleigh's Brier Creek that will also be combined with a food truck, Ed Mitchell's Q on Wheels. Similarly, the brick and mortar location will be called Ed Mitchell's Q at the Creek. No exact date on an opening, but website suggests it will be before year's end.

Where will it go? Not many empty places for it, are there?

According to his site, it'll be at 9650 Brier Creek Pkwy, which is down the street from the main action, across from Walgreen's and backing up to the golf course.

Chuys is definitely a step above what is currently available in Brier Creek.

Whatever. It doesn't look like Chuy's is taking over Carino's anyway.

I hope this works out for Mitchell. I read somewhere recently that some are starting to call him "the pitmaster without a pit" I wonder if he ever considered going back to Wilson and reviving the family business his daddy started years ago. It was a great little place to eat.
