As I understand it, the food areas are in the secured area. You need a boarding pass and security inspection to get in.

Hooters is on Airport Blvd.

You can get lunch at RDU w/o a boarding pass. The Crosswinds Cafe in the General Aviation terminal is open for lunch during the week. Different scenery than Hooters but a great runway view.

I had never been to a Maggiano's and this thread had me craving Italian food, so we headed over Saturday night. It was a 1.5 hour wait so we passed.

That may be the first and last time we ever go to Southpoint on a Saturday night though. That place is crazy!

Of course. It's not too far from Dimsum House. And Cracker Barrel is across the street, I think.

What? You don't know about the Cracker Barrel? I never eat there because they've traditionally been hostile to the LGBT community. Years ago I was with family and my sister wanted to eat there. I said I wouldn't go with them and we picked some place else.

LOL! No, I wasn't aware if their LGBT position. I thought it was only the food that made them eminently avoidable.

I ate there once before the discrimination issue came up. I wasn't impressed. Supposedly now they are nicer to the gay community, but I don't know.

I just really laughed out loud, remembering something after reading this. We moved right at Thanksgiving time and my wife normally does an awesome Thanksgiving meal for the family, but could not because of the timing of the move. So her father said I have a GREAT place to dine at for Thanksgiving. Where? You guessed it. CB!

We were very Thankful though. Not for a free meal, because we paid, but to leave the place. I think my stomach is still ill over it to this day, but he and his wife loved it!
