Yes, they both are good. Went to the one in Apex a couple years ago on a WCPSS snow day and my sister was in town. Talked with the owner for awhile, nice guy. My daughter judges all places by their chicken tenders and gives Doherty's thumbs up.
Was there last night (Cary location). Good food for a pub oriented place. Some surprising offerings show up on the menu from time to time. Their salad entrees are pretty good for those that like lighter fare.
Note that they have live music some nights. Irish folk music.
Love the Cary location but we have been going there for 17 years (when it was still Connolly’s). We have had most of the menu through the years and have never experienced a bad meal there.
