Hi, I am wondering if anyone on here has heard about or had an experience with a medium in this area? To be clear, I am not interested in hearing your personal opinions or beliefs on this subject, I would just like to hear of good or bad experiences. Thank you

Used to be one on Glenwood Avenue/US 70, up near the Umstead Park entrance.
Not sure if there still is.
Also, again, US 70, but Miami Blvd, in Durham, in the midst of the used car lots. And, I don't know the status.
Check out Dancing Moon bookstore. They are the Raleigh 'headquarters' for spiritual type things, mediums, books, classes, etc. They have a website as well as a storefront off of Capital Blvd not far from downtown.
No personal experience, but I've been intrigued by what I've read of Vincent Genna.
I went to a Vincent seminar several years ago. I can't attest to him having any special abilities, but he has a psychology background and I think he speaks from that perspective and that's probably helpful for lots of people.
I've come to the realization that whatever "intuitive" energy there is exists in everyone. Just some quiet meditation and clearing your own mind and relaxing is all that's needed, and that's free! All humans are given the gift of intuition, some are dialed in and others not so much, but there's really nothing magical about it, intuition has helped humans to evolve and endure over millions of years. Psychics like John Edward readily say this and behavior experts also say this. Even famous security expert Gavin DeBecker wrote about the power of intuition and how important it is to listen to it in his amazing book, "The Gift of Fear."
Not interested in the links. Sorry. (Wikipedia? Really?) If you want to be skeptical, feel free. I prefer to remain open minded. No need to prove me wrong.

Doesn't "open minded" include being open to different information or opinions? If you chose to believe in something that is not supported by any factual evidence that's up to you. But it's not what open-mindedness is. Just sayin'...
FWIW once I visited a psychic, it was in another country though. I really needed advice with an important decision and even though I don't really believe in such things I figured it's just as good as any guess. The lady clearly didn't have any extraordinary abilities to predict future but I believe she was pretty good as an amateur psychologist. Based on that, I felt her fee was reasonable for her advise and talking to her was helpful at the moment. But here and now I would've just reached to a professional psychiatrist or a consultant for similar help.
This can be very dangerous for a more impressionable person, they could get under the influence and be conned big time. Please be cautious with these sort of people and consider seeing a professional instead.
