Finally! (if true) The one on Ridge was far too crowded. This one is too far to help me, but at least will draw some traffic from the other one. Now if they'll just open one on 55 in Cary/MVille.

Great catch Dire Wolf! Seems like a great location for one since it would probably be accesible from Six Forks Road and Strickland. Also very close to I-540.

I recently went to a rezoning meeting where some developers were talking about possibly building a Whole Foods or Trader Joes on some vacant land located at the Entrance to Bedford at the Dunn Road / Falls of Neuse intersection. There proposal does not seem to be as good as the one you found. I would love to have a Whole Foods within walking distance of my house, but a Six Forks Location seems to make more sense since the roads there can already handle that kind of volume of traffic. Seems like a smart location and will only be a short drive from my house.

Thanks for finding this article. I'm sure a lot of people in North Raleigh will be happy about getting this Whole Foods!

I hope you are right, Dire Wolf. I'm tired of driving all the way to the Wade Avenue store from North Raleigh. North Raleigh could really use an upscale grocery store like Whole Foods, and the Six Forks / Strickland location would be perfect.

Dire Wolf...When looking for homes in the Cary/Morrisville area it was my understanding that Whole Foods was looking at property right past the 540 interchange going towards Durham County. Maybe it was wishful thinking and I heard it a year ago...but I will keep hoping for it!!

Glad they are keeping it inside of 540. Infill is better than further sprawl. Did they mention which corner of that intersection it would be at? I'm assuming that wooded/lawn-filled lot on the NE corner of the intersection. That would be great though!

I crack up when Clark Howard calls it "Whole Paycheck."

"Whole Paycheck." That's a good one. Sadly apt, too. But I do love the place!

I would LOVE to see one out near 55 too.

Not to hijack the thread, but I heard a rumor there's a new Target coming to the Cary/M'ville area....anyone heard about that?
