I like Korea Garden too, but I think it's a bit expensive. Asahi is also in Cary, it's Korean and Japanese. Maybe Korean food is just expensive in general, but I find Asahi to be pretty expensive as well. Asahi also has a lunch buffet with korean Barbeque on it.
First time we had ever had it, excellent beef & chicken, you cook it right in your table's built in grill, it's wonderful and a very nice restaurant, staff was great!!
They bring you lots of good sides out with your meal too and if you run out they bring you more. I couldn't tell you what stuff was called but I really liked the Turnips and Carrots in Vinegar, the Cold sliced potaoes in some sort of sauce and the apple and cucumber salad was great too.
The lady told us that someone was opening up a Korean buffet on Capital in Mini-City soon too so watch for that.
I've found that to be true of Korean food in general.
Going to my favorite korean restaurant, Vit Goal Tofu in Durham (near nc-55 and nc-54) ends up to be $20-$25 a person; I usually go with friends and we eat "family style" where we order a bunch of dishes to share.
If I feel up to it, I end up making many of the dishes myself.
I second Vit Goal -- wonderful food, and I've been around.
Chosun Ok, nearby, is great too.
