so presumably the Realtors 'catch many prospective clients in this forum net' and it would be interesting if any of them admitted how successful a medium this is in finding new clients versus say advertising in Directories or on their own websites

I like Krispy Kreme donuts.

Seriously, I have only been here since December. There have been people to talk to. But the main reason I come here is because of the local content and social atmosphere.

Real estate business is where one finds it. Some people pay huge fees to have traveling experts explain to them that every human being needs shelter. (Duh?)
This forum is not meant for advertising. I have openly offered services in the past, but nw avoid that, really wanting to be a contributor, not a taker.
I approach blogging on ActiveRain or Localism the same way. I present information and have conversation.
Mike Jaquish is my real name, because I decided years ago, long before I was licensed as an agent, that that was how I would approach the internet in general.

Hoping not to be out-of-place, but I never keep it quiet that I am a Realtor. Partially and very seriously, that is because I am adamant about disclosures and agency. Too many people come here and say, "We make $XX,123 per year, and want to buy a home in the $000,000 range."
That's TMI for public sharing.

Now that's full service. You asked me what time it was and I built you a nice watch.

Mike's real estate website is set up nicely for googling It's the first that popped up when I did a google search for a no registration mls search site. Then when I saw him here I recognized his name. Convenient to have a somewhat unique last name.
