Does anyone have good advice about the best place to live close to RTP? We don't mind about a 20 minute commute.

We are planning on renting at least for the first year so rentals is what we're looking for.

I'm looking for a sleepy neighborhood, 3 bedrooms, school districts don't matter because we only have a baby.

We are NOT nightlife people so we don't want to be near downtown at all

Hoping for rent less than $1,000 but I guess we'll see what's out there!

We have never been to NC at all so any advice would be helpful as were moving from the West and have no idea!

RTP is about 15 minutes long itself...

Where in RTP is the job?

Good luck finding a "sleepy" neighborhood within 20 minutes of RTP! All of those are pretty popular (and thus, congested). As Mike says, RTP itself is the physical size of many towns, so "within 20 minutes of where"?

He will be working at Cisco. I'm not familiar with RTP so I am not sure where in RTP it is.

Thanks!

Cisco is at the south end of RTP, bordering Morrisville. Are you looking for a rental house or apartment?

A less-than-20 minute commute would take you into SW Durham, Brier Creek area of Raleigh (and more), Morrisville and a lot of Cary (at least ... there are a lot of neighborhoods I've skipped as well).
