Hello -

I am from Cincinnati & will be visiting Raleigh for about a week on business. Where should I go? What are the "must-see's" of Raleigh??
Thanks!

For drinks/dinner, head out to Glenwood South, Moore Square or Fayetteville Street in downtown. NC State's arboretum is a nice place to kill a little time taking in some beautiful landscaping. There are a few museums and many miles of greenway if you want to get outside. There's also Umstead State Park located near the airport for a good hike.

You could also head to Durham and check out Duke University - namely the chapel & Sarah P. Duke Gardens. If you're into baseball, the Durham Bulls (America's favorite minor league team) plays in downtown Durham. There are numerous restaurants & bars in the nearby American Tobacco Campus as well as Brightleaf Square just up the road. Eno River State Park in northern Durham offers arguably the best hiking in the Triangle region.

Chapel Hill/Carrboro: Tour UNC Chapel Hill, dining/drinking on Franklin Street.

Pick up a copy of the Independent Weekly, which comes out on Wednesdays--it's the local "entertainment rag" with all of the goings-on for that weekend. You can find it in most non-chain restaurants, libraries, bagel shops, etc.

Which week will you be in Raleigh? Are you just in Raleigh for a Monday-Friday or an actual full week?
