Maybe it's a clue in the post with all caps...'LAST THING...BLACK SLACKS...ONE SCENE...BAD THING'.
She said she wore black slacks so her butt didn't look big on TV!!! Vicki

In some episodes the house sells, but in other episodes you're left with the tragic cliff-hanger ending. I guess it's probably the most honest show on HGTV, but it's also the most depressing! Especially that episode with the young guy whose fiancee leaft him right after he bought a house on the lake for her. Oh, my heart just broke for that poor guy!

I know! I saw that one last night It is honest and realistic. Designed To Sell doesn't included labor costs in the $2000 budget. That bugs me.

And many of their other shows don't consider taxes when discussing purchase prices of housing, and for renovations they don't often tell you the price at all like with Redesign. Nice to see someone get the living room of their dreams. But it'd be nice to know if it cost them $150K or $10K.

[quote=VickiR;727804]Ok now...don't laugh. The people that film that show "Buy Me" called my office and asked if any agents were interested. The LAST THING I want is my butt on national TV! One of the agents from my office did the show and said she wore BLACK SLACKS the entire time. She thought the publicity would be beneficial. She said they will film ONE SCENE over and over until they get it right. They filmed her pulling into the driveway and she kept missing her "mark" but finally got it right. The BAD THING is that the house featured still hasn't sold so they can't film the ending!!!

I saw the Buy Me from Raleigh, and he sold the house on this show. Maybe it was another one???

Speaking of HGTV & the Triangle, tonight's episode of Landscapers' Challenge is featuring a house is Rolesville, NC (a town just northeast of Raleigh).

I saw that in the paper a while back that they were doing it, they showed the 3 design plans, but didn't show the winner, and (of course) I missed it.

Did they pick the *right* one??

The agent in my office, Bonnie, said her episode hasn't aired yet. She said they film 9 months to a year in advance.

Did you see the follow-up episode on this guy? He ended up renovating and selling the lake house. He then moved back to the city and went into the real estate business with his mother.

He also found a new girlfriend!

My kids & I were filmed for Buy Me in Holly Springs, NC. It was last year in the fall. They just told us it would be airing next yr (07), but didn't know when. I have been DVRing it ever since hoping that I would catch it. I looked at the site & it talked about a lady with 1000 pairs of shoes in a June episode...that has to be it because this home had the largest closet I had ever seen..it was unreal..like 2 or 3 bedrooms! I am hopeful it will be soon now that they showed the Raleigh episode.
