My family is moving to somewhere in the triangle area in august. We are coming to visit at the end of June. My goal is to become a Realtor. I have taken Principals in Real Estate I and II in the spring of 05 in Mississippi but could never take the licensing test because we had to move. My questions are does anyone know if these courses will still be good or will I have to retake these classes?? If they are still good I saw some online courses to catch up on the hours that are required by NC ( I think I need a extra 15) ?? Last but not least I would love to have a job when I move down there working in a office doing anything just to get my foot in the door what would be the best way to go about this?? Thank you in advance for your help!!

Kristen

Kristen,
Here are the folks who can give you the straight story regarding qualifications:
http://www.ncrec.state.nc.us/applicants/applicants.html

And the best way to get your foot in the door?
One way: get the license, talk to brokers in charge about coming into the firm, who might need help from a licensed assistant but would let you grow into working as an agent on the team.
Another way: Take the plunge and hang your license at a firm that will offer support to you to go it on your own.
Neither is the "right" answer. One may suit you better than another, and there may be someone else to make a different suggestion.

Good Luck!
