I had a phone interview with them today. Didn't go well.

They've said that this will be a small office. It will hardly make a dent in the hundreds of telecom professionals that have been laid off from Nortel, Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, and Wavecomm in the last 2 years.

NewUser, do you know what types of folks they're looking to hire? I read it was to be a "R&D" facility. Are they looking for engineers? Designers? Marketing?

If you go to this page https://rim.taleo.net/careersection/...ion=4101430233 and put in United States then North Carolina for location it will show Charlotte as the only city. However, if you click "Search for Jobs" it will show a "North Carolina Career Opportunities" and if you click on that, it describes the types of positions available for the R&D group.

Definitely highly specialized engineers with telecom experience (HW and SW). Thanks jeffs555 for posting that link.

Thanks! My husband is a product designer (lead/manager)--it would be interesting to see who they end up needing/hiring.
