I'll start out with the most glaring examples. Sofas in the front yard and cars parked in the front yard. Now, I've never had to live amongst this.

However, there are more subtle ones that drive me crazy. Here they are: Maybe you'll recognize yourself in some of these and maybe you'll think I'm anal retentive or ultra picky. Don't tell me to live in an HOA just because I have good taste. 1) trash cans in the front yard or left in the street on any other day than trash day 2) cars parked in the drive way. Why park a $30K car in your driveway and store your garage with junk? 3) People who leave their garage doors open. 4) Parking on streets in front of other peoples' houses 5) other peoples' music that you can hear 6) barking dogs that are not taken in when they bark 7) unkempt yards. Ok, that's all I can think of for now.

Yeah, you're anal, lol, at least when it comes to parking cars in the driveway.

It's my property and my driveway. Why park my car in the garage when I can conveniently park it in the driveway? So yes, I think you're totally anal and should live in a uber strict HOA. Sorry.

And now that I think of it, why would it bother you at all if someone parked in front of your house? Your car is in the garage, so you don't need the space on the street to park, right?

Houses needing paint
Broken windows boarded with wood
Broken garage doors
Rotting fences, sagging, falling fences
Half dead trees and shrubbery
Unmowed lawns
Home's siding that is damaged or warping from the house
Mailboxes that dented, half falling down or rusted
Twisted window blinds
Piles of old newspapers and phone books scattered on the driveway or front walk
weeds knee high in sidewalk and driveway cracks

WOW!!! Just out of curiosity mistygirl... have you ever been a home OWNER? or just a renter?

I'll be damned if somebody is going to tell me I can't park in my OWN DRIVEWAY!

Political support signs. Especially ones that I wouldn't vote for!

Wow, some different choices. I love it that people are active politically, even if I don't share their views. Freedom of speech is important to me.

Noise issues would be a pet peeve. And trash and stuff out front I guess bothers me -- but peeling paint, etc -- these are tough times, and maybe they just cannot afford to paint right now. And at the top of my list would be nosy/anal neighbors, lol.

I park my car in the back yard of my house, and people park in front of the house but I say nothing, because it's common in my area now. Even we have a garage, but I never park my car in the garage because I'm afraid I will hit something and damage my car when I drive my car into a small narrow boxed area, so the garage is for storage, then.
I just don't like when people's car park in front of my house, and at midnight, their car's alarm goes on for couple minutes (I don't know the reason).
