Because they know that the public would want to use that information to screen out real estate agents.

Because you didn't file a complaint with the licensing authority in your state. Anyone wants to have something against a licensed agent made a part of the PUBLIC record, needs to file a complaint in the public forum.

Many may find the next comment cynical, but few folks realize that the NAR is not out there for the customer, they are a trade organization looking out for the best interests of their members.

In the OP's case, I'm sure the jury is feeling quite righteous that they laid down the law on one of their members. $500 + the cost of having to go back and do the "ethics" course again? Pin money.

Well, if you Google her, my Yelp review shows up as the second item. Under that review, it includes her violation. As a buyer or seller I would probably Google an agent first before I went through the trouble of finding information on a complicated government website.
