This is what I do too - I grow fresh herbs and they blend beautifully with the other greens in a tossed/green salad.

Now - for fruit salads, being here in Texas, I am partial to Klass chili/lime seasoning. Talk about punching up the flavor, especially of tropical fruits - WOW!

Always fresh parsley and chives. Sometimes fresh tarragon.
