This thread is for people who celebrate Thanksgiving and is planning on cooking. I know several of you don't celebrate it or go out to eat or other houses to eat. For those that are cooking, I am curious what you are going to make?

I rarely make turkeys as I am not a fan of the taste. So we tend to make a whole roasted pork shoulder with a bunch of side dishes. Not sure what I am doing this year.

Two years in a row now we have made seafood stuffed halibut steaks, and a boatload of traditional side dishes.

I love turkey and we always have 2-3 of them cooked different ways.

My fiance does not eat turkey, so I make him a meatloaf and bring it. I am pretty sure I will do that this year as well.

My Mom often made a Capon instead of turkey which I much preferred, always seemed a lot juicier/tastier than turkey.

We mostly do turkey, but in the past I've done pheasant or venison. It's just the right time of year for it.

We're away from family and didn't really make a Thanksgiving dinner 2 years ago, but had a ham last year.

We are pretty traditional but like variety so we are having both a turkey and ham. Usually I do a couple of turkeys a year, this year I have not. We are not crazy over left over turkey, frozen, so I will get a really small one as there will be only 8 of us this year and our granddaughter and husband do not eat left overs. They are bringing the ham. I imagine I will get about a 12 lb hen.

I remember one year, my sister roasted Cornish game hens - everyone got their own.
There were 24 of us, and she said she would never ever do that again
