With the holidays coming up, there will surely be a cheese ball in your future. Easy to make ahead, and good to take places, or give as gifts. Here’s an unusual one..

Chutney Cheese Ball

Ingredients:
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 9 oz bottle Major Grey’s Chutney, divided
1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup shredded coconut
Crackers

Directions:
Mix 1/2 jar chutney with cream cheese, spices and pecans.
Form into 2 small, or one large ball by placing in a small bowl lined with plastic wrap. Twist wrap to form into ball. Chill until firm.

To serve, place the cheese ball on a bed of coconut. Drizzle with reserved chutney. Serve with bland crackers.

Christmas Snow Ball

Two packages of Cream Cheese
Two packages of Corn Beef or 1/4#
(1) Bundle of Green Onions

Place Cream Cheese into mixing bowl, Cut Corn Beef into little squares, Cut
Green Onions about the same size.

Mix all together, place on wax paper or plastic wrap and shape as desired.
place into fridge until it hardens.

For me personally, I put the mixture into a ' Cottage Cheese ' container lined
with plastic wrap and cover the top then snap on the lid till hard. I then center
it on a Christmas themed plate with different crackers around the edge and I
love using Flavored Pretzels to stick into it making all sorts of things, Reindeer's
are the most requested but anything will work as it usually does not last long.

This is a VERY Kid friendly

Philadelphia brand cream cheese
Hidden Valley Ranch Dip packet
Sliced green onions
Bacon bits
Chopped Walnuts or sliced almonds

If someone has a nut allergy, consider rolling the cheese ball in sharp, finely grated cheddar cheese.

I don’t make it enough to have a recipe, but I think sharp cheddar and cream cheese, some dried mustard, herbs (?), and it MUST be rolled in nuts.

I used to buy them, but it doesn't look that hard, so I'll try it myself.

Cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, Italian seasoning, mixed and formed into ball or log, rolled in toasted pine nuts.

My mom used to do a pair of cheeseballs and roll one in minced parsley, the other in minced dried beef. For, like, red and green. You gotta love the '60s.

I make a similar one but use canned corn beef, it has more flavor I think, and I add either spicy mustard or a bit of horse radish and some nuts chopped..

I've never made a cheese ball, I presume that the cream cheese should be softened/room temp when preparing?
