Is it still implied these days that if someone invites you up, that you will have sex? (dates, girls)

I have been wondering this for awhile. Had a date with a guy at a restaurant. He invited me to see a movie in the theatres, but nothing out now seemed worth watching. He invited me to his place (this was in the afternoon) and we watched a movie and listened to music and talked.

There was no sex.
Sounds like a lovely date. Does he have a brother?
Not always. Honestly, I don't mind if I invite a girl to my home or if she invites me to her place and we just cuddle, make out, and have a great conversation and there's no sex for that night. As long as we have some SOMETIME down the road, then I'm cool with it. I don't like booty calls honestly, every girl I have sex with, I like to also spend time with. I like having a relationship (commitment or not) of some sort instead of having sex and then kicking them out my bed, pull them by the hair, slap them on the butt and say "scram" and push them out the door.
No not necessarily but it really depends on the individual. I would feel a little sketchy for a girl to enter a guys home alone after only 1 or 2 dates though. It really isn't safe. You can call me paranoid but it really doesn't hurt to get to know them better (a few months at least) before you put yourself in a vulnerable position.
At the very minimum I'd be expecting a serious make out session.
