Yeah today in class I saw him online so I said hi to him, then we chatted for about an hour (Yeah I didn't pay attention to the prof lol) He asked me what I usually do on the weekends, then he asked me if I drink at all.
The conversation was good (and got more personal than the previous ones) - then when I said I need to sign off to leave the classroom, he said "cool, have a good weekend". --well I thought he'd ask me to do something together with him based on the questions he asked me.
I guess I should be more patient - after all I don't know much about him
you have the right mindset....
but reading this just frustrates me. he TOTALLY could have asked you out after that convo. it really frustrates me even though i'm far removed from the situation. AHHHHHHHHHHHH
you have a lot of patience. more than i do, certainly.

I guess he's just being as careful as me - I normally don't like to date anyone from my own program to avoid any potential unpleasant consequences, so maybe he's the same? But yeah I thought he would ask me out too at the end of the conversation..next time, should I just throw out my number and say "hey, give me a call if you want to do something together later"? lol
I'm jk. There is no need for you literally ask him out. When he says a joke, just do a gentle touch of his arm or shoulder. Any physical contact like that makes it obvious you are interested.

you're gonna have to figure out a subtle way to do that....
me, i'm not so smooth. i'd be reaching across 3 ft to touch a guy's arm... or end up looking really obvious...
Well, I'm a dude but I was referring towards after class. You can't really take anything seriously in class. Though I have had some chicks start rubbing my back and stuff in class...kinda odd but a real ego boost especially in high school.

Well, he asked me what I do on the weekends, then he asked me "do you drink at all?" - I first typed "LOL" , then said "yes", cuz I thought it was a funny question. Then he said "random question, I know."
Dunno know if it was my "LOL" reaction made him feel I wasn't ready to be asked about this type of questions.

I'm never comfortable with body touching though--especially with someone I don't even know...Just can't do it..
