RIP Mr. (or Mrs?) Snake!
Was his first name Monty?

[quote=Hawk J;19265372]I have Bull Frogs out by the basspond that i like. I used to name them.

One summer a bullfrog got in our pool...he would come and go....I swam with him...he was gigantic. It was so cool. Have any of you ever let a tarantula crawl up your arm? I did last year, and it felt like little puff balls...so soft...I was suprised.

Also, sorry about Max's pet snake.

Ummm, no tarantulas for me! I have a FB friend I'm about to block because she has started raising them and always posts pics. LOL

Sometimes I think snakes and other reptiles are cute, but I am not really comfortable around them. I'd like to visit Reptile Gardens, but SD won't go with me! Gotta wait until my niece comes to visit.

When i was a Army brat we lived outsde Columbia South Carolina, & then on Fort Jackson. Close to housing there was a swamp pond i used to explore & play around. There were many biggun tadpoles, frogs. I played with Tarantula's, never had a problem.

At times i saw Water Mocassin snakes in the swamp.

I was in the Scouts so we did a lot of campin. FUn

Yikes! my hair just stood up on my arms.

I can pick up and touch snakes all day long...but I can't even LOOK at the spider exhibits at the science museum or the zoo.

MM, so sorry for the loss of your son's snake. That's heartbreaking as a child!

We had a guinea pig that died when older boys were 3 and 4yrs. I found the little piggie on it's back and figured it would be a good time to discuss death with my two older boys. I told them her heart stopped beating and she can't live without her heart...

my 3yr old, with a very serious yet compassionate tone, said "mommy just put new batteries in her"...OMG, it was so sad but so cute! He was just sitting there staring at me with his big blue eyes and his blonde curly hair, sooooo innocent looking. It broke my heart.

I know the rollercoaster talk is over but I meant to add this.

I have done this ride, and it was a BLAST! I believe they pull you up 189 feet in the air.
