I haven't watched the entire HBO series, But the man in this clip is pretty stereotypical. Its too bad that Racism is always portrayed as a product of only ; poor, southern, White, ignorant men. It gives minorities a false sense of security when they are not surrounded by the stereotypical racist. It also allows many other racist people to look in the mirror and not see a poor, White, southern, ignorant , man and believe that they are not a racist.
I think is a pretty good point.
It really does exist everywhere and in all classes and colors of people, but not everyone will readily admit to their beliefs or opinions on the subject. Some topics are just too hot for some people to handle.
Due to the history of the United States, it is far more common, and strangely more "acceptable", for a southern redneck to make claims like this, rather than, say, an upper class white male from somewhere like Connecticut.

This is one of those things that is very much still an issue with some Blacks and Whites. Theres still people that get the cringe when they see blacks and whites together. But, it will quickly become a non-issue in the very near future in this country. Face it when your relatives are mixed you will have to adapt to it or be eternally unhappy.
