Most women I know are either liberal or moderate and/or indifferent when it comes to politics. They would date a Republican, but it's something they would put up with, not seek out. But then, that's my circle... and I'm a liberal, so who knows ... perhaps there are swaths of Republican loving women out there.

Sounds reasonable.

It made me wonder about something, though... So many people today seem to be against heterosexual marriages and try to reduce them to "a piece of paper." If it were "a piece of paper," why the fight for gay marriages...?!

I also wonder if the groups dismissing heterosexual marriages and supporting gay marriages overlap a lot...

Hmmm... I don't know any people that dismiss heterosexual marriage so I wouldn't know the answer to that.

Probably a half of the members of this forum do. Not that it's representative of normal people , but still...

I don't understand why people are against gay marriage.

OK, marriage is "sacred" and should be between a man and a woman traditionally. Time changes people and civilizations. rewriting things shouldn't be out of the question when it comes to things such as this.

Personally, I believe that people should do whatever makes them happy. If you're happy being gay then be gay. If you like being straight then be straight. If you like boning sheep, well just don't do it in public, that's still difficult for me to look at...

Gosh, the stereotypes flying on this thread are astounding.

On a physical level, I've seen super hot men from every part of the political spectrum.

On a personal level, there is only one thing that I can see affecting my level of attraction to a man.... one who thinks the government has the right to dictate how I live or how much of my hard-earned money I get to keep.

This thread is silly, if you have a stud versus a pud, who do think is gonna come out on top, which side of the isle you're on doesn't seem to come into play.....

If the media talks about it enough and shows you enough images of it, eventually you'll get used to it, too. That's the way social acceptance of just about everything is built. Same goes for creating social intolerance towards what the media has been ordered to establish.

I was wondering the same thing.
