After having lost (by my rough calculation) several dozen man-hours of brilliant and insightful writings to the dreaded Blue Pencil, I've finally come to the same conclusion.

The way it was just pointed out to me, the age limit for joining here is actually 16; PG-13 refers to the content and language level.

I'm wondering what business a number of the 20 year olds have here considering the apparent maturity level manifested by some of them.

If I'd have known that there was a vote for that, or an idea thread on it, or whatever, I'd have thrown my opinion out there ( in favor)
I'd been a forum mod for several years in other places, and to be honest, even though owners can set their own rules, the amount of 13-year-olds posting in any capacity on a forum outside video game forums is pretty minimal (they're too occupied playing video games, and video game forums are actually REALLY vulgar a lot of the times.)
Invite-only and rep-based seemed like a good idea.

You want extreme immaturity, just go to the Politics forum. Relationships is the "head" of City-Data, Politics/Other Controversies is the ...unclean rear end.
