Ummm, the girl told me I was too broke to date her. And even though she was poor herself in collage, she knew she could attract grown men with money so it was a big deal when she got with me and I could not offer her much.
I'm really not upset about it though, she was a basket-case due to her cocaine problem; I needed to walk away and I'm glad I did.
You really picked the wrong girl! That is not normal in college. You picked a woman who was selling herself for tuition money and other goodies. If you think that's the norm, you're in seriously sad shape. Who goes to college and falls for a glorified hooker with a cocaine habit? This is the ultimate example of a poor choice. So don't generalize about all women when one freak case gives you a hard time for being broke. Most people are broke in college. Most women don't care if a guy's broke. A few may be looking at future earning power based on they guy's choice of profession, but they don't care about current economic status while in college.

Y'know... there are SOME men who actually enjoy paying simply for the sake of paying... they aren't looking for a damn 'handout' and they do not have a damn 'agenda'! Just stop already!
I pay for my boyfriends because I like to be in control. I pay for first dates and last dates. I pay for vacations and years worth of activities. I like knowing that it's my money going towards feeding someone/making someone happy/having a good time etc. It's pretty simple and has nothing to do with avoiding feeling obligated to sleep with them.
