What do you guys think?

It's obvious men have far lower standards for sex than women do (although it's not true for all men of course) but do men have the same standards when it comes to dating/marriage?

I think we do, with the only difference being that men have far lower standards for money/success/income. We do have the same standards for personality/character though

Yes they do, only many reach for women way above what they are, like 40 year old men seeking 25 year olds or obese men seeking thin.

In my opinion both genders are equally 'picky'.

I highly doubt guys have far lower standards when it comes to dating/marriage.

In regards for dating it seems when most guys don't get sex by whatever date they want they'll bail out.

In regards for marriage it seems most guys shield away as long as they can from a committed monogamous relationship much less marriage which tends to be described as 'getting a ball and chain'.

I don't think most guys are willing to take just any gal for a relationship or marriage especially considering how it seems most guys don't want either. I don't see most male fantasies, paradises, or envied lifestyles being described as being faithful to one gal. I do see it described as being able to f*ck a vast amount of young attractive gals.

I'd say that men and women are equally picky, and equally bad at making good picks!

Both genders are equally picky and shallow when it comes to picking mates. As for me I take want I can get also I try not to be shallow. Do things i do frown upon is dating single mothers and women with money problems, I will date but it wont be longterm and deffiently not worth the trip down the aisle or in front of a justice priest. That's just my two cents.

There are a lot more girls i'd fool around with than i'd have a serious relationship with. My standards are incredibly high, i got extremely lucky and found someone who has standards that are even higher than mine, but i am extremely picky with LTRs much more so than who i would fool around with.

Each person is different. The more women who want to date you, the more picky you can be. Good looking and fit people have a larger "menu" as compared to less attractive and over wt people. Its just the way it is. But I am looking at this at 40, not in my 20's. Just how I see it
