Can she be THAT stupid? - YouTube

I've seen some of the Jay Leno clips where makes fun of peoples' ignorance and sometimes I'll say, I can see how someone wouldn't know that. I'm usually pretty lenient and I'm not one of those people who thinks he is particularly smart. But this was pretty bad.

I'm guessing that woman has never had any trouble meeting men. And she's not even THAT pretty.

I have also run across a few members on relationship forums who say pretty shockingly ignorant things and have fairly pedestrian careers, and they are some of the people who always have people hitting on them and have to beat the opposite sex off with a stick. No names will be mentioned of course.

Meanwhile, I have a sister who is a doctor and extremely intelligent and still single. I'm not saying she's ugly, and she's definitely had some boyfriends. But I'm guessing if she looked like that blonde, she'd be hitched by now.

Mod cut: Inappropriate language.

Rant...

Nope, intelligence and success don't count, especially if intelligence is accompanied by what is termed "mildly successful."

I don't think most shallow and attractive women, even the ones who are college-educated, like intelligent, philosophical, and analytical men that much. I really don't.

The streetwalking segments of Jay Leno's show are staged, for the record.

I got the feeling she was putting on an act. I didn't know it was possible to be that bad ... especially for somebody who is a musician. Music takes intelligence.

But, you never know.

Would you date her?

I don't know anything about her skill as a musician, but on a higher level it certainly does.

Jobaba is right, musical talent and intelligence (esp mathematical intelligence) are positively correlated.

She's definitely good looking and clearly above average, not my type personally esp with that accent though.

Anyway, intelligence is definitely important, at least to intelligent people. If you look at long term couples, more often than not, the 2 people in it are not more than 10 IQ points apart. Once you get to a 15+ point difference, it becomes much harder for the couple to communicate well.

it doesn't really seem like it, because many of
them wait until they're old and gray to start a
family 20+ years late.
