Deal breakers:

Felon
Abusive
Heavy drinker or an alcoholic.
Drug use (with the exception of rare marijuana use)
Dishonest
Rude/negative/condescending to others
Couldn't tolerate my dog or is unkind to animals
Extremely religious and leading a restrictive or very devout lifestyle

Some women won't, but I'd be willing to date a man that was divorced, had kids, and that was in the military.

Do you at minimal, think about the potential 'correctables'?
If I meet someone and already are wanting to "correct" things in him or I'm hoping he will change for the better, then he's not the one. No one is perfect, but if I'm really annoyed by one of his habits or traits, I realize I can't change a man and I wouldn't want someone to try to change me into their ideal partner either. That being said, I'm pretty laid back and independent anyway so I don't get annoyed that easily.
