I don't remember how old he is, but he's still in his early 20s, That isn't 40. Stop with that dumb argument because it really doesn't apply here.
He's living with his parents for a few more months until he pays his loans off. His parents are probably seeing it the same as he is, and that's being financially intelligent, especially in this economy.
I wouldn't even worry about women if I were in his shoes. I'd just pay off my loans, find a nice place to live in a decent neighborhood, then start looking for women.

I don't think this OP has the slightest idea how to manage his life.

I know that in the area that I live in, if I was raking in 7k a month, I'd be able to pay down my loans, own a nice apartment, eat well, drive a nice car, and be able to put away about 5k of my salary every month. But, I don't live in an expensive area, and I know how to make ends meet with a small fraction of the money he makes.

I live in San Francisco, half of 7k a month will probably go to rent, more if you have no roommates, lol. And the rest will go to overpriced organic food.
