On a scale of 1-10, how "big" is your baggage? (date, wife)

LOL. me too. you know there's this dating game show Baggage hosted by Jerry Springer (of course!) and i thought wow I have no baggage.

well reading the wiki of the show It premiered on April 19, 2010. Wow in a span of 2 years, I now have a baggage. Ugh. WTF was I doing with my life..

well the only advantage from that is that i became less judgemental because I lived it. that i know that S-H-I-T really happens. whether you're at fault or not.

I've always said we carry some baggage from one realitionship to the next, we all just deal with it differently. I would tate mine.....ummm 4ish.

Clinical depression/Schizophrenia/mental illness =/= emotional baggage.

At least, not from my personal definition of emotional baggage. I'm talking about someone who has been effected by their past interpersonal relationships to the point that it impacts their emotional availability.

It's a completely separate entity from a mental illness.

-no drug or alcohol problems
-no financial problems

I'd give myself a 2 on that 1-10 scale when it comes to baggage.

I like your definition better.

I mean I have questionable self esteem from my life experiences, but nothing negative from any of my (few) relationships. So, I wouldn't call that baggage.

You've really lucked out. I know quite a few people with immense emotional baggage and it definitely impacts how they go about pursuing relationships, the types of relationships they have, and how long it takes for them to get over certain things.

I think that if you don't have some sort of self-esteem issues in this day and age, you're an anomaly.
