I am always amazed at what people call stalking. Emailing too many times? Staring at your facebook page? Come on, that isn't stalking. I had to get a restraining order when a guy followed me in my car, would wait in the parking lot at work, and broke into my home and left a steaming pile of feces on my bedroom floor and under my pillow. Now THAT was stalking.

What about the co-workers who followed Himain and me and, out of nowhere, forced their tongues down our throats? Sexual harassment or stalking? What if they followed us for several days before that? Not sure what the legal definition of stalking is.

I would consider my situation more assault than stalking or harrassment.

I mean obviously working in corporate world, dancing, and restaurants I've had my fair share of sexual harrassment and, trust me, I've dealt it out too

In my case, I was dating a 42 yr old when I was 29. His crazy ex was stalking both of us.

Both of your posts sound like harassment to me, not stalking.

The legal definition surely must vary from state to state. In MA, where I had my incidents, there must be a series of acts over a certain period of time which threaten the target.

General Laws: CHAPTER 265, Section 43

I had a guy follow me from where I ate breakfast to work, and a few other places. He had been following me around for a few months, and even came into my work and I had no idea until he left a message at my work to tell me.

Stalking is generally defined as a pattern of behavior intended to intimidate, annoy, threaten or harass another person. Though stalking has become easier to prosecute, I'd imagine it still takes time and stress for a victim to be able to establish that crime.
