Oh my, I am old! I remember the days when dudes were just happy to be getting sum sum! So glad I have been married as long as I have. If a man no longer is interested in a woman based upon pubic hair, I don't think there is much of a relationship to begin with!

Actually,I'm 40 and I can remember Cosmo articles when I was in my 20's about shaving and waxing down below, most of them, were about "shaping and trimming" not about being completely "bald"

I just want to add, I'm not pro or con when it comes to hair. Personally, I've sported many "hairstyles" over the years and I'm not a big fan of hairless. The guys I've dated and the one I ultimately married were fine with whatever style I chose -- I've had not one who made a request either way. Mod cut: Not PG -13. Hair and hygiene are two different animals. Sweaty/stinky nether regions have nothing to do with how much/how little hair the woman has..it's all about washing down there. Conversely, as for guys, I've had not one who was manscaped regardless of ethnicity. And to be honest, I never expected it...I dunno...maybe because I am now one of the "over 35" crowd? I respect all people's preferences, so if that is a dealbreaker to you OP, even though everything else is going right, that's your right too. I just think it's a rather small thing if everything else is great. Hair might also be a cultural thing too. There are many women who aren't American who still go "au naturel".

If a girls got hair down there, to me that's good. Atleast I wouldn't feel like a pedophile. My girl has hair. It curls up and is very soft and doesn't "seem" like a jungle to me. She shaves it a bit when swim wear season comes, but that's just around the edges and that's about it. I think every female is different. I actually like hair on my women. Jokingly I twirl my fingers in it. I know, too much info. I don't really that much, because her hairs are not that long. But it's soft and I can clearly see her vagina. She has never asked me to shave down there either. Maybe it is a generational thing. I'm close to forty, she is getting close to 33. When I started having intercourse many years ago every girl had hair down there and it never stopped us guys from doing whatever. I think this is definately a "porn" industry thing. I personally think that if you are a guy and you are shaving down there, then you might not be too large. Because let's face it, many men do it too look bigger. I don't need to shave to make my thing look bigger, let my girl find it, etc, etc. It's there. It's not hard to find. I don't mind a little trimming, but that is up to her. I've just never seen the importance from a guys point of view to shave himself. I guess I've never shaved or trimmed that area because I would also fear that it would/ might come back thicker. As it stands I've never had a girl have an issue with it. Of course I've been with the same girl eight years, and before that I don't think it was an issue up until the last few years. Once again, it must be a generational thing.

What's with all these fads making guys more girly? Do guys pluck their eye brows too? Shave their chest? Whats next legs? I'm trying to be sarcastic. Obviously I know that some guys do these things. I don't live in a vaccumm. I knew guys who did it back in the eighties, but they were mainly doing it for a sport like swimming, running, cycling or body building. To sum it up, outside of the obvious, I just think that some things should be left the way they are. That's just my opinion. If you like to shave your genital area, then by all means do it. But I certainly wouldn't break up with anyone over not doing so. That seems a bit extreme. But once again, that is just my opinion.

Trimming, grooming, yes, but full on waxing bald all the time doesn't sit well with most men I know personally.
I agree with this. I'm 36, but I'm a bit of a throwback in this. I don't want to see bald. I like it that my wife looks like she's post pubescent. I'd be creeped out if she didn't.

You keep using the word "groomed" when you really seem to be saying "she should shave it all off."

As for evolution etc. (you actually used that term in an earlier post in this thread) -- come ON! You are writing as if some relatively new phenomenon that seems to have come out of porn is somehow a sign of progress and enlightenment. (If men were "genetically programmed" as you wrote above, why did this change happen only in the past 10-15 years?)

To each his or her own, but most men my age (>40) would be grossed out if a woman were totally shaved. (I am clearly older than the OP but not ancient!)

Which is worse? Full on fuzz or bald privates covered in little red bumps from the ingrown hairs?

That's right. I am glad shaving/waxing is not a fad in Asia yet, at least not as much as in the USA. Besides, being hairy is not really an Asian trait.

Exactly! Who are any of us to tell someone else what it is that they should do with their body? I mean really. A deal breaker? So if she had every great quality in the world, and it seems like she is your perfect partner, you would really break up with her because she has some hair where it is supposed to be? I just don't understand some peoples expectations/ rationalizations. However, it definately makes clear why so many people are single and couldn't find a boy friend/ girl friend to save their life.
