I myself did not cook until recently. Before that I had a mother, the Marines, on the boat a cook and at home, a wife. My wife was stay at home and would not allow me to help other than dishes. And yes, I tried many times. It was her turf and she would have no crossing of that line. This didn't really bother me, it made her happy and as she was an outstanding cook, I was as well.

After the events which took my wife I at first enlisted a service for a housekeeper and a chef when I was down south but it all seemed impersonal and I let them go. To me nothing really matters without effort, without caring, and so I started doing my own cooking for the first time at the age of 48. It started poorly and now a bit shy of two years later has progressed to uneven but I'm finding something out about myself that I did not know, I like cooking. All this is a long winded way to say that if I should settle down again I want to cook WITH my girl, its something I would like to share between us.

They should.

I actually enjoy cooking for myself. I don't like to leave it for others to do.

I don't date but I cook for my friends and family. Therefore, I would probably cook for a girl. Still, I don't like to cook on a daily basis.

Totally agreed! I LOVE cooking for my guy and when I stay over at his place I usually make him breakfast in the morning...as long as he has the ingredients in the house. Forever a bachelor
