And there's no reason (all things being equal) that an older woman might not choose to date a much younger man if she found two men she liked and one was close to her age and the other was far younger.
That's kind of a "no ****" sort of statement, isn't it?
So many men want to paint older women as desperate for a date, and that really is ridiculous.
Women, unless they are picky to a fault or highly unpleasant to be around, rarely have problems finding A date. Now, whether or not dates turn into deeper relationships is a crap shoot.
Women are also easily able to find sex (without paying for it). Again? Generally speaking.
ETA: Which is more appealing: a hot-looking older woman with a healthy, toned physique or a younger woman with a nice face but a heavy, untoned body?
The answer? Depends on the guy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some dudes dig chubby girls. Some dig older chicks with hot bodies.
You say they would all ditch both those choices for a 20yo with a hot body. I say again: Depends on the man.
No one ever said the older women in this situation was desperate, we said the younger man was.
Cracking up at the bunch of guys telling the older women what their dating life is like.
Wouldn't want to actually take the word of the "older" women who were doing the dating? I really don't get the self-enforced ignorance.
Meh_whatever is right, finding dates with the young, old, hot, ugly, rich, poor, etc. (please mix and match to your hearts content) was no problem. That whole desperate for a date scenario that you hold so close to your heart isn't really a reality.
If you look good and take care of yourself, are intelligent, and engaging, the world is your oyster (men wise) no matter what your age.
I was back in the dating pool at 42, and honestly, it was great.

I go after women who its not great for in the dating world. If dating is great for you then I would probably not date you unless all the stars aligned. A woman playing the field is just way too much drama.
I don't get it either. I mean, sometimes women in their late 30's or early 40's can be hot, but being 32 I usually cut it off at women my age. Now when I was 23 and dating that cute little 29 year old...that was hot. But she was 29.
And heaven forbid you catch a bigass catfish and fry him up for a "Y2K" gal.
She'll have a stroke.
She's probably a veggie anyway and cries when she watches Bambi.
