I don't think it was cheating but I agree with this.
And if she was really into him and she shagged the other guy to get back at the boyfriend then she's crazy for having "Revenge" sex. Who does that? Good oppurtunity to get pregnant or to catch something
Yes, but if youre not together, then why not just move on and break things off for good? If you intend to cheat on the person you are in a long term relationship with, yet leave them under impression that you need a little time off in order to sort things out in your head, but in reality you only want to bang someone else, its not only cheating, its also deceit and lies. People will go to any lengths to justify their disgusting behavior and their s1uttish ways.
I don't know, Ascension. Ask the guy who wanted the break. I don't do breaks; I'm all in or all out.

Probably more people than you imagine. Emotion often trumps logic.

Hold on. HE instituted the break without qualification, then she slept with someone else.
How long should she wait for the break to resolve itself by becoming a permanent break up or reconciling?
I feel a date should be pre-determined. Two weeks, four weeks or whatever. That is plenty of time to do lots of thinking and doesn't leave either party hanging.
She doesn't waste no time getting around....Sounds like a relationship made in hell to me.
I can't speak to someone else's state of mind, but my understanding is that the other man is someone she knew for a while as friends. Probably he was always attracted to her but I don't know that for sure. I would also guess that she was sending put sexual signals to him once the break happened, but again I don't know for sure.
