Have you guys ever met a stripper who is single, no kids, educated, came from a normal upbringing, who strips just because she likes it? I've always wondered how many strippers like that exist!
I know two of them!
Interestingly, one is currently in med school now to become a pediatric heart surgeon. But she stripped right out of high school to save up for med school and as far as I know basically made enough to graduate debt free. She was in my 4H group growing up and her parents still live down the street from mine back home. Super smart gal and actually sat down and analyzed how much money she could make from stripping vs. working full/part time to put herself through school. She had spreadsheets and everything She has no kids, is currently single and said she really enjoyed stripping.
The other put herself through school and quit stripping when she finished her nursing stuff. She's now working as a nurse practitioner and still jokes that she should go back to stripping because it pays more She's now married, but at the time she wasn't. She has no kids.
Of course, I also know a few strippers/escorts that have MAJOR Daddy issues and come from horribly broken homes including one that was stripping to get her boyfriend out of jail. So... there's all types I suppose.

Single educated ones with no kids who like it certainly exist, though they're probably not the majority. I don't know what you consider to be a "normal upbringing," though.
I do, actually. Small rural town, not many jobs and a lot of immigrant farm workers and college students makes stripping pretty lucrative. I knew at least 10 or 15 strippers and a few escorts as well growing up. LOTS of them did private work and there were a few companies around the area that did private parties exclusively. I could get all preachy about it, but some of these girls were making well into the 6 figures working 2 nights a week.
I'm generally not judgey and people with interesting pasts often have the best stories
It depends on their level of business and just what class of adult service they are. It can range from illegal and dangerous work organized by crime gangs to very lucrative and high class escort services.

I don't think it's a common story...but I have known a few strippers that did pay their way through college and ended up owning real estate and being very comfortable. Some went back to stripping because it pays more than any job they could get and they have their degree(s) to fall back on when they get older.
The escorts... were mostly older women interestingly enough and you would never guess by looking at them that they were escorts. They were doing pretty good money-wise and had zero complaints as far as I could tell. Excellent conversationalists, considering that was a huge part of their job. Just chatting with them was really nice and relaxing. Too many people are terrible conversationalists these days.
Ask 10 good looking waitresses working at the type of restraunts that also have a pub if they are tired of middle aged men without manners. multiply that by say... 10? to get an idea of what the prostitute/stripper must think, considering the same men must have about that factor worse behavior towards them...

You are correct on the last paragraph. I know an escort who is now 60 and she's making well over $500K a year in cash. Her clients around the world fly her in. Everything paid for. She started in mid 50's. You'd never know she was an escort. Put well together and good body for her age.
