I'm just curioius. Do couples over the age of 50 still kiss each other alot? I don"t mean little pecks, but like when you were younger! Does that ever wear off? I tried searching this question on here before asking, couldn't find anything!
Not sure how it goes for everyone but for my wife and I in our youth it was a time of her running (but not too fast lest I fail to catch her) and me running after her. And I don't just mean sex, snuggling, kissing, the works. It was all a lot more on than off. Then there was a part in the middle where we both got so busy that we started scheduling time for ourselves because otherwise it just didn't seem to happen. This period slowly but surely got better as the kids required less attention and our own schedules outside of that became less crowded. Later when the kids had moved out, that time at least for us marked a complete return to the same sort of thing we did when we were young. Her running (but slower lest the older version of me fail to catch her) and me running after her.
I would not be afraid of getting old for fear of losing intimacy and intimate contact. If anything it can get better than it ever was.
When I was in my 20s I imagined that people in their 40s did not fall as intensely, madly in love, or feel such strong sexual desire as young people. Boy was that wrong!
I don't think I've ever seen my parents kiss on the lips unless it was a birthday dinner, and then only a quick peck. As for other older couples I've seen it quite a lot, usually Westerners.
Well, we do feel less need to show it off in front of other people. That doesn't mean we are not doing it like monkeys every day .
