Very interesting thread. What I see is, a man who holds looks/body more important than anything, and a woman who puts money on her pedestal. A match made in heaven??

I do want to comment on OP's "surprise" that such a creature as his love would want him. It read like "wow, why would this beautiful angel want this regular guy", imo. Duh, hot guys don't have to spoil a pretty girl to get their attention. Young handsome men don't have to buy "love", they don't even have to treat them that well to have them hang around. We all know that. So this woman got smart is all, kudos to her. Of course she learned the hard way that having a mate of her caliber wasn't paying her bills, many have done the same.

Like they say: "Its just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor one". Your story is not unique, happens every day. You could have a woman your age and same looks rating that pays her share, or you can have what you consider a hot young thing and pay for it. She could still be waitressing and hooked up with a hottie, or being spoiled by an older man who supports her, her son and pays for her to retire at a very young age. You both know what you're doing and if it works for ya, its your life.

My only gripe is the OP comparing his own mother as a gold digger, because she I'm assuming, stayed home to raise the kids. Come on. Is your parents love story anywhere near the same as yours? Are you saying the average stay at home moms situation is anything like your honeys? Most SAHM's are also raising their husbands children, not their ex good looking hubby's. Joking or not, you owe your mom a big apology.
