When do you ask the questions?
Or do you just use a condom with no conversation about the issue?
Do you require an STD screening?
Would you be offended if asked to take an STD screening before any sexual interactions?

The only thing I will offer with respect to this question is...if you don't understand that viruses have an incubation period before being able to be detected then you need to educate yourself about this. Having anyone that you just met screened for viral STD's will not guarantee you a STD free person.
My ex girlfriend called me up today, and told me she had just tested positive for HIV. I didn't really know how to comfort her, so I said "I know". anthony jeselnik
It surprises a lot of people to learn that some people are immune from getting AIDS. I was with someone for 10 years with AIDS, never any condoms used, no safe sex, and just before dying he told me: Don't worry! You're not going to get AIDS, God's got a more vicious disease awaiting you some day!
2 years after he died, I got tested! Negative! I think he was right, which has had me shaking eversince. What more vicious disease awaits my end?
I once took care of an AIDS patient, he knew he had AIDS, but couldn't test positive until the very end!
Yes, the incubation period! Which can be a long one! For someone who tells me he's HIV-, that gives me no reassurance whatsoever! But if some idiot wishes for me to get tested, I'll do so! And laugh silently!

I remember reading that something like ten percent of the population is immune to getting it. Crazy but good news.

My question more about when the issue is brought up to a new potential partner. Are people just not even having the discussion?
