I'm pretty confused too. The OP was talking about dating, not marriage. However, sometimes people like to stretch the parameters of what the OP was talking about to fit their agenda. Take it with a grain of salt

Dating, huh? I guess some men have gotten tired of dealing with unrealistic expectations and competition in the dating scene.

Not sure what you meant by the former, but in the latter (competition) I always liked it. In school. In sports especially I liked playing against people better than me. The professional world. In all aspect of life I like being around excellence. In inspires me and makes me push myself to be better than I am.

Why would I date a jerk when I can get a nice guy?

Dating isn't a charity. I'm not a 501(c)(3). I don't have an obligation to date or not date someone who doesn't appeal to me. So what exactly is it that you think will be accomplished by ignoring women who don't want to date you?

They aren't even going to notice...
A "nice guy" would say, "Oh, the irony of that statement."

But yeah, the most that a man would accomplish by ignoring a woman that doesn't want him is that he might find a woman that does want him.

If that is a definition of a strike, then that is basically being logical.

Maybe that's a good thing.. You are talking about men who have unrealistic expectations of dating a 10 right?
Toning it down some might make for a better chance of being successful.

No, y'all. But I think men should have more standards since y'all have so many in which most are unnecessary.

My sister found a cardboard cut out on her vacation of that guy and posted it on facebook,

I love my sister so much, I still laugh about that.
