in reference to the job offer: I'd take it without a second thought as long as I didn't have any personal problems against whatever the business was.
They take good care of you, 4 weeks paid vacation and they probably pay you very well. Picketers can move out of my way as a drive into work with a classy car every day with a smile on my face knowing that money is no longer a problem in my world.

I have known other engineers that have worked there in the past, and none of them would list the company as their employer on social media just to avoid haters. I also asked friends here in town what they thought, and while some told me go for it because everybody knows somebody who has worked there, one friend asked me if I was really going to sell my soul to the devil

I made my joke earlier about this subject, but on a serious note, you have to figure out what is in your value system. Then move forward from there. I know that's rather obvious but that's all it really boils down to.

Mr. CSD has to use my laptop this evening and it makes me very nervous when he has to do this because he is far from computer literate and I never know what he is going to change and have no clue how he changed it.

Sounds like my house, only it's my kids. They change all kinds of settings on my computer, not intentional I'm sure. I finally had to put a password on the computer to keep them out.
