We were acquired and have slightly different holidays. We lost President's Day and gained MLK. I still have to work, though. Too much to finish by Friday.

My company was just purchased by a huge German company, you'd recognize the name if I said it. They are one of the largest privately owned companies in Europe.
Supposedly we're going to be left alone, we'll have to see how that plays out. The company that bought us is trying to get into the market that my company presently dominates in the So Cal area.
When I started with this company I came from a huge fortune 150 company, 10 yrs ago when I got there they had no IT support, was this little yappy hungry organization, now... hell, we've grown to 8 offices, across the southwest, dominate the So Cal market and have grown 500 percent.
Hell of a thing for an organization to boast about in the down economy.... very rare.
The people running the company have really done a good job....
Strong management, good employees, and they pay pretty decently and take ok care of their people.
A lot of businesses these days can't make those kinds of claims....
I got lucky when I took a chance on them back in 2005.......
Edit to add... I sound like I'm bragging... I'm not.. I'm just being thankful for the move that I made turned out ok... LOL...

The best pizza in my opinion, is the mom and pop Italian restaurants. You can take the cardboard **** that pizza hut and dominos peddles and stuff it where the friggin sun doesn't shine.....
I agree, Chow!
I hate Papa John's tonight and it was gross! I miss the around the block beat up looking local pizzeria I used to go to where I lived in the Bronx. I think, to this day, it's some of the best pizza I've ever had
