If you say so......I do not know this "Divergent".

Perhaps use your analytical skills to Google it?

Done!

But my reply was more of an illustration of that what might be very popular to the world can be lost on a lot of us because we never see such stuff.

After all, after one has read Sheckley and Heinlein's "Tunnel in the Sky" & "Friday", everything else borders on being a copy.

HOWEVER:
"I couldn't help think of the scene in Divergent where Four tell Tris, "No, a Divergent would jump. Dauntless would get to that building. If you want to pass, if you want to avoid discovery, you have to do everything the way a Dauntless would do it." "

in relation to the topic, such (the above) does have its points since it is about masking and mimicking. It is even a little bit classical, resemblant of "Murders in the Rue Morgue" where the failure of the stunt man does not prove innocence of the accused.

I apologize if I caused offense; it is a good illustration. I just don't know the world it comes from.

Ok, now you just perplex me.

I provided a perfectly snarky comment, and you responded rationally and reasonably.

Are you an INTJ or perhaps a militarily minded aspie?

This post isn't meant as snarky at all...... you are definitely a very different personality. I'm just wondering if military is what got stuck in your psyche, kind of like how S King explained how horror got stuck in his...

I think a military girl would like divergent,I liked it.

We watched movies underway in the submarine when time/mission premiered it. The navy provided a library of movies on tape. You would think in 1999 it would have been dvd but no, tape. Hopefully in the new Virginia class it's all on a solid state drive or maybe a hard disk drive.

If course, only a third of the crew is off duty and not asleep at any given time, assuming there is not an emergency, mission or drill going on, in which case everybody would be awake. I personally stayed up for four days once (we were doing operations). Two days was more typical.

No, it is that you are a moderator and if a moderator says something, listen up, take them seriously.

Ooh, picking fights . I can sit back and watch like the good old high school days.

Indian guys don't have the guts to fight back. All we need is filling food and A/C to sleep .

If the text isn't red, I'm not a moderator.

So it only says moderator as her status all the time?

Me thinks she is always one.Unless as another handle.

Winrunner Divergent is a good movie! I'm excited for the next one where they show how the "others" live.
