Why do the relationship threads state "no threads about, weight, height, or race?" These are easily the most popular relationship topics, and Sometimes there are valid questions people want answered/are curious about, and don't feel like looking up an old thread from 2009 to do so. This is like saying in the politics forum "no threads about Obama, Democrats, or Republicans."

Or is it the powers that be are sick of looking at them?

You've been a member since 2007 and it's not apparent why?

Because the trolls trashed it for the people asking legit questions. And even when legit questions are asked, others rush in to bash. It's not worth the hassle. Also, for some reason, short dudes tend to obsess, and monopolize the forum. It becomes a Whinerfest.

Try it on a different relationships forum, if you must post about that stuff.

These topics have been beaten to death. How many more times must the same thing be discussed?

I actually was on the brink of writing one of the mods to ask the exact same question. I definitely understand the idea that some topics get a lot more discussion than they should. I also can appreciate why some threads get shut down because of the tone they take. But I also think the forum should reflect what's on the mind of its members. These are subjects that people want to discuss. Perhaps a break of a few weeks will be sufficient and we can petition the moderator to open the forum back up to these subjects.

Peeps, I'm burned out on the trolling and whining that takes over those topics. It's nice to have a break from all that. A nice, long break. Let's leave well enough alone, ok? For now at least. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Right now, nothing's broke, everything's humming along pretty well. Dig it.

OR...or we can allow people to discuss what is on their minds and you can exercise your right and preference to not click on the thread. Isn't that awesome? You get your break and others get what they are looking for. Isn't that better than one person deciding for everyone that some topics are off limits?

The topics have been beat into the ground. Each and every thread is exact same carbon copy. There is nothing more to add to the discussion. It has been giving its due course. Yes, there is a very good reason why we don't run those threads.

The discussion from 2009 would be the same as 2014. Nothing new here.

It's not one person, it's several mods and senior mods. The one person who decides what goes is the Administrator. If you look at it from his point of view, as the owner of a site that earns money from advertisers based on member counts, it's not hard to understand the motivation. You're not his customers ... the companies that pay him are.
