By the time she got all the way to the floor my date's eyeballs were rolling on the floor and I'd mop them up and send him home. Actually this happened just once b/c I had enough sense to not have dates over again when she was around and I moved out at the end of the semester, never to see her again. I think she became a doctor of conventional medicine and I only do holistic now.
Why would roommate 2 even invited Joe out in the first place, knowing that roommate 1 invited him over to hang out because she met him while out one night. Since Joe was a classmate of roommate 2, seem like roommate 2 had other opportunities to have invited Joe over to hang out before roommate 1 did. Sounds like roommate 2 have knocked roommate 1 out of the picture before anything really got started.
But seem like roommate 1 should have been the one to invite him over if she was trying to initiate a relationship with him.

Easiest thing to do would be to ask your roommate if she's cool with you hanging out and studying with the guy. If she says no, or says yes but then behaves passive aggressively toward you, then you can decide which battle to pick.
