I figure for the most part, change in lighting causes it. But you're right. Next time I think it's happening, I'm going to violate the hell out of their personal bubble to get a better look and then question them incessantly about their obvious attraction to me. I can't imagine how this scenario could NOT totally rock. =c)
The thing is, the pupils get so big, you can see it from a reasonable distance. It's an unusual phenomenon. So if you're working on a project with someone, let's say at work, they're going to be close enough to you from time to time, or even standing at the opposite side of a desk or work table, you'd notice.

OK. What about staring right back at me with wide eyes and a serious expression while I'm checking her out across the baggage claim. She moves just a little bit out of my straight ahead line of view but then is staring right at me again. I act weird and talk to myself and look around and away when she stares at me.
What is going on there? Does she like me or is she creeped out?
she is interested in you, for some reason. walk up and say hi to her next time that happens.

Eye contact, smiling, asking questions...and unfortunately, since I'm the friendly type as it is, I sometimes have to say, "Hi, I think you're awesome, wanna hang out sometime?." This seems to do the trick every time.
