Some of you women act so damn entitled it's disgusting. YOU have to ask us out. And now since YOU asked us out, YOU have to pay for everything. If this is what I'm avoiding by not dating women of your ilk, then I say I come out the winner by avoiding spending time with a bunch of soul-sucking, entitled moochers who are more interested in what I can buy for them than who I am as a person and what kind of supportive partner I can be for them. Absolutely disgusting and distasteful.
OP, you might discuss with your friend going dutch in the future, so that she knows what to expect. Having secret rules doesn't tend to work too well. It's certainly reasonable at this point to have a general agreement about sharing expenses. Then when you feel like treating her as a special treat, you can. But you shouldn't have to keep shelling out indefinitely, as if money grows on trees.
Thank you for understanding and I think this is a good plan going forward for any relationship.
Hook up? Lord no, he has a girlfriend. I'm not dealing with it.
Haha ok, I think it would be cool though if two CD-ers hooked up (which has happened before, apparently).
Ruth's post is wise. I have always gone dutch on dates, or tried to, though sometimes guys don't allow it, like they think I'm just posturing. Nah man, I have the money and I wouldn't offer to pay if I didn't.
I also have asked men out, though, so perhaps my outlook is different than others'.

You seem like a genuinely good person who has a high level of empathy and understanding towards the men you date. I'm sure you're a great girl to go out with.
Looking up recipes later, but it's probably going to be a salmon recipe with a side dish and spring mixed greens. A decent bottle of wine to go along with it.

Thank you. As I've posted many times before, dinner out should be a special treat, not an ordinary thing, unless a guy has money to burn. As for me, I'm very low-maintenance. I don't drink, so you'd never have to spend money on drinks for me. I love teahouses. How much does a cup of tea cost, seriously? $5 max, if that. I'm all for free dates, and cheap, fun dates. And I'm not alone in that, if women's posts here over time are any indication.
So, whatever. Look for sweet, smart, low-maintenance women. I hope your thing with your current squeeze works out, but if not--onward and upward. Don't let the bedbugs bite.
