What's wrong with Clowns? I guess you said you didn't care for men in uniforms.
I do remember a friends birthday party when we were like 6 or 7. His parents wouldn't let the clown come in the house, he was slurring his words and smelled like smoke and booze. We never realized they even had one planned, they told my parents about it and my folks told me years later. If I had to do that for a living I'd probably be a drunk too. Lol
I dated a girl that was a charter pilot before I met my girlfriend, I thought that was pretty hot. I gotta admit, when I lived near that navy base and talked to some of the fighter pilots at the bar I kinda had a man-crush on them. That was my dream job as a child.
Oh, it's not so much the intellectual or "class" stuff. It's that I hear a lot of women say they love a man who "works with his hands." That never did anything for me one way of the other. Never found anything sexy about the Marlboro Man type, either. Leathery skin and chewing tobacco aren't my thing.
Oh, no, I knew what you meant; I was simply qualifying my own preference. I've found as I've gotten older that men in come blue-collar occupations have a certain appeal to me (if they have brains and some refinement, as well. And definitely no leathery skin or chewing tobacco habit ).
Engineering is likely one of the least romantically-appealing profession (for men). Engineers are parsimonious, punctilious, and dry. Their humor (if present at all) is sophomoric and unoriginal. Their fashion-sense is utterly lacking. Their primary devotion is to their jobs. They're the antithesis of "cool". And they're arrantly socially-conservative. That at least is the stereotype.
Fortunately for me, my gf likes that I'm an engineer. But I don't really fit the stereotype.
Besides some of professions listed as turn-offs by Djuna and Lilac, I will add pilots. I know some good ones, but I know more bad ones.
Some of the professions I might make exceptions for (my husband is one of them) but politicians NEVER. I despise them as a group.

I know a pilot that makes dating absolutely unfair for other men. The things that come out of this guys mouth make my eyes roll near out of my head, and women EAT IT UP.
Actually, 2 pilots. But the second one is VERY good looking...he'd be getting women left and right no matter what he did. But the first guy...it's an amazing thing to watch.
I dated a pilot who was also a former military officer, talk about an ego! He was a lot of fun and we're still friends, but he assumed every girl wanted him. He has aged (we all have), gained weight, but he still acts like that 26 year old flyboy. It's extremely hard to have a relationship with one, they fly all the time, weekends, holidays and when they are home, it's usually the middle of the week when most other people are at work.

That reminds me....
If I were dating I would probably rule out any Navy officers, I have found them to have huge egos.

Ha! I don't know about every girl, but he definitely dated out of his league. He was in the Marine Corp.
And Mikayla, the guy I went out with last night is a former Navy officer...Lord help me!
