And I'm saying that assaulting others should ALWAYS be reported and responded to as a crime. What you are "behaving like" is immaterial.
If someone from that department is going to laugh, they seriously deserve to lose their jobs. Abuse shouldn't ever be a laughing matter.
Yes I know it's not but in reality it's hard for a man to report it that what I'm saying! I'm using the above as an example to maybe a contributing factor to why they don't report it

I agree. That's a given. But the problem is that too many women these days are taking a huge risk, and as a result, some of them are getting violent retaliation.
The minute any man put any hand up to me even in jest, I would hit the door.
I taught my kids "keep your hands to yourself" and I meant it.
There is absolutely no excuse for either violence or the threat of violence, in an adult relationship.
