If you have gone on enough dates to be comfortable inviting someone over for a meal what do you serve?
Waffles?
Souffle?
Grilled out something?
probably slow cook something, maybe lamb (it's popular here lol), mash, salad,
... Or just a really slow cooked tomato sauce, with homemade pasta & meatballs
I would stick to fish, vegetables, dessert and wine.
If I don't feel like cooking, I will get good suchi and miso soup from the restaurant. Will make one or two salads and perhaps some boiled rice. Watermelon, pineapple and ice cream for dessert if it is summer. Some kind of fruit pie if it is cold out with hot tea or coffee.
If i have time and inclination to cook, I would make salmon with potatoes in the oven instead of the suchi. Salmon should always be 3/4 done to be edible for me.

I could never date you, I will not be in the same room with anything you listed let alone eat it, except for the coffee.
It depends on what they like. I would do something where I could prep most of it in advance and have less to do the night of the date. It makes the evening more relaxed. I think I did chicken piccata for a guy I dated because it was one of his favorites.

depends what they like. For a date I would do a clean dish that's not too heavy, also I would avoid a dish that's just loaded with carbs as some people are very carb conscious. I would do a nice filet, a side of grilled and seasoned asparagus ( I grill in foil so its very moist) and a side a baby potatoes quartered and seasoned with fresh herbs. We also like mushrooms so I do a side of mushrooms in foil on the grill with different spices. If your date likes fish you can sub for the filet and do something like pesto quinona for a side. Good Luck
